Amazing Easter Musical E-mail
By Pastor Reuel

“Beautiful,”. . . “Wonderful,” . . . “Very touching,” . . . “Awesome,” . . . “Heavenly,” . . . “Inspiring,” . . . were just some of the comments made on response cards which were full of rave reviews.  We give all the glory to God and praise Him for the superb presentations of “The Choice,” by our adult choir under the skilled direction of Tom Payne. They performed to overflowing crowds on three consecutive evenings from April 6-8.

Intertwined with the passion narrative was the fictional love story of Marcus, the centurion, powerfully played by Nick Liwag, and Hannah, the Jewish maiden, beautifully portrayed by Kristine Kayabyab who also choreograph the play.

The evening began with an energetic performance by the Faith Kids, our children’s choir, directed by Rowena Pagtakhan and Elisha Salandanan. What followed was a delightful evening listening to uplifting songs and watching skillful acting depicting the life and ministry of Christ.

Many in the audience were moved to tears by the portrayal of the crucifixion.  The crowd gave enthusiastic cheers during the last scene when the risen Christ makes his final appearance with the entire cast, adults and children, singing, “I choose Jesus!”

Pastor Reuel gave a simple gospel presentation challenging the audience to make the choice for the Lord ImageImageJesus Christ.  After the play we distributed free bibles to those who wanted to know more about the Lord Jesus Christ.
