We praise God that the leaders, elders and staff of our church were able to meet together to pray and plan for the upcoming year of 2012 during the MLK weekend.  This year’s venue was the Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds in Occidental.  It is a beautiful camp site nestled amidst giant redwood trees.  It is a perfect setting to experience the beauty of God’s creation and to enjoying the fellowship of brothers and sisters in the Lord.  During the camp we were able to glean leadership principles from Lead Like Jesus by Ken Blanchard and Spiritual Leadership by Henry Blackaby.   We spent much time in prayer for our missionaries, leaders, and church prayer requests.   During evaluations, those in attendance agreed that what would have made a great weekend even better was to have more representatives from all the ministries in the church.  We hope that more will able to come next year and share in this exciting event.
